HOW TO ENTER

Fully complete the official entry form on the reverse of this page and

a) Submit in person to an ASG representative by 5pm AEDST on 09/02/11; or

b) Visit www.asg.com.au/winascholarship and submit the fully completed entry form by 11:59pm AEDST on 09/02/11.  

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1.       Information on how to enter and the prize/entitlement form part of these Conditions of Entry. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Conditions of Entry.

2.       Entry is only open to:

a)                   Australian residents who are the legal guardians of a child aged under 10 years, or can nominate a child under 10 years, as at 23/02/11;

or

b)                   Australian residents who are pregnant, as at 23/02/11.

3.       Only one entry is permitted per household. Employees (and their immediate families) of the Australian Scholarships Group Friendly Society Limited, its affiliates and their agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.

4.       The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants as required by law (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.

5.       Incomplete, indecipherable or illegible entries will be deemed invalid.

6.       Promotion commences on 05/03/10. Entries close at 11:59pm AEDST on 09/02/11 for online entries. All other entries must be handed to an ASG representative by 5pm AEDST on 09/02/11. The draw will take place at Anisimoff Legal, Level 4, 448 St Kilda Road, Melbourne, Victoria, 3004 on 23/02/11at 3pm AEDST.

7.       Winner will be notified by mail and their name will be published in The Australian on 16/03/11.

8.       The Promoter’s decision in relation to all aspects of this promotion is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

9.       The first valid entry drawn will win an ASG Education Scholarship.

a)                   If the winner is the legal guardian of a child aged between 0 and 10 years of age at draw date, or can nominate a child under 10 years, they will nominate ONE (1) child as the recipient of the prize. The nominated child will be enrolled into The Education Fund (TEF) Plan A program (“ASG Education Scholarship”). Total prize value of the TEF Plan A is up to $15,171 dependent on age of child at enrolment, ASG projections & level of study undertaken. This amount will be paid subject to the nominated child’s admission to and the commencement of year 11 and 12 of secondary school and an approved post-secondary course and is subject to the standard terms and conditions contained in ‘ASG’s Education Program’ Combined Financial Services Guide and Product Disclosure Statement, which is available from the Society’s Registered Office or any ASG Information Centre.

b)                   If the winner cannot nominate a child under 10, AND is pregnant with a child at the draw date, The Education Fund (TEF) Plan A program (“ASG Education Scholarship”) will be held open to them until such time as the child is born/nominated. Maximum period of time that the prize can be held open is 12 months from date of draw.

10.   If for any reason a winner does not redeem the prize or an element of the prize by the time stipulated by the Promoter, then the prize or that element of the prize will be forfeited. A draw for the unclaimed prize will then take place on 23/05/11 at the same time and place as the original draw, subject to any directions from a regulatory authority. The winner will be notified by mail and their name will be published in The Australian on 14/06/11.       

11.   If the prize is unavailable, the Promoter, in its discretion, reserves the right to substitute the prize with a prize to the equal value and/or specification, subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority.

12.   Prize, or any unused portion of the prize, is not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as a cash lump sum.

13.   Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, and/or image in the event they are a winner (including photograph, and/or recording of the same) in any media for an unlimited period without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this competition (including any outcome), and promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.

14.   If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to disqualify any entrant; or (b) subject to any written directions from a regulatory authority, to modify/suspend/ terminate/cancel the promotion, as appropriate.

15.   Any cost associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant’s responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used.

16.   Except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law, the Promoter (including its officers, employees and agents) excludes all liability (including negligence), for any personal injury; or any loss or damage (including loss of opportunity); whether direct, indirect, special or consequential, arising in any way out of the Promotion, including, but not limited to, where arising out of the following: (a) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the Promoter’s control); (b) any theft, unauthorised access or third party interference; (c) any entry or prize claim that is late/lost/altered/ damaged or misdirected (whether or not after their receipt by the Promoter) due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter; (d) any variation in prize value to that stated in these Conditions of Entry; (e) any tax liability incurred by a winner or entrant; or (f) acceptance or use of the prize.

17.   As a condition of accepting the prize, the winner may be required to sign any legal documentation as and in the form required by the Promoter and/or prize suppliers in their absolute discretion, including but not limited to a legal release and indemnity form.

18.   The Promoter collects entrant’s personal information in order to conduct the Promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties associated with the Promoter, and as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. The Promoter may, for an indefinite period unless otherwise advised, use the information for promotional, marketing, publicity, research and profiling purposes including sending electronic messages or telephoning the entrant. Entrants should direct any request to access, update or correct information to the Promoter. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
