2017 ASG National Excellence in Teaching Awards

The 2017 national recipients of the 2017 ASG National Excellence in Teaching Awards
(ASG NEiTA) have been announced.  This year we received more than 1,450 nominations for the awards which is a wonderful response from the community.  From these nominations 60 were selected from across Australia.

For more than 23 years, these awards have provided communities with the opportunity to formally recognise and thank outstanding teachers and leaders.

ASG is proud to continue its support for the teaching profession by acknowledging the valuable role inspirational teachers play in the development of our young people.

More than 35,500 teachers have been nominated by their communities across Australia and New Zealand since the awards started in 1994. ASG NEiTA started in 1996 in New Zealand. ASG NEiTA has distributed more than $1,000,000 in grants and prizes since the awards started 23 years ago.

Recently the work of 12 extraordinary teachers from across Australia were recognised with a National Excellence in Teaching Award.

To ensure that NEiTA continues to promote teaching at its highest level, we’re taking this opportunity to review how user friendly the awards are for parents, students and the community, as well as those teachers nominated.

See you soon.
