The Education Fund is ASG’s foundation scholarship program and assists parents or grandparents to save for the basic costs of their children's or grandchildren's secondary and post-secondary education.
How The Education Fund works:
- Enrol in The Education Fund to prepare for your child’s secondary school costs. Children can be enrolled up to the age of 10.
- Make regular or lump sum contributions. Regular contributions start from as little as $11 per week.
- The money you contribute to the fund is returned to you during your child's secondary school years to help pay for secondary costs.
- If your child goes on to post-secondary study, they will receive an independent scholarship allowance that can be used to assist with education related expenses.
Why join?
- Tax Effective - As the fund is designed specifically for education it fulfils the requirements of a 'scholarship plan' under the Income Tax Assessment Act (Tax Act). This allows the fund to receive concessional tax treatment, which in turn optimises your child's education benefits.
- Flexible - Parents or grandparents may also choose to enhance their program through the Supplementary Education Program to provide for additional assistance with their child's primary*, secondary or post-secondary costs.
- Affordable - Contributions start from around $11 per week.
- Extras - Access to a range of complementary services and discounted products.
- Family Protection - In the unfortunate event of the death of the family's major income provider, our Family Protection Program fully protects your children's benefits without any further contributions being required from your family.
- Peace of Mind - This simple, disciplined approach allows you to have funds available throughout various stages of your child’s education.
* Primary elective only available where child being enrolled is under 2 years of age.
